The Great British Bike Off

BicyclesWe're looking forward to our next social event, a family bike ride. However, this will be no ordinary bike ride, we're offering 4 different options, including an option which doesn't even require a bike. What all the options have in common though, is a picnic at the end by the Peace Pagoda at Willen Lake.

Here's what you need to know; the day of the 'bike off' is Sunday 15th May and the starting point is  dependant on the option you choose, so here are the options:

Option 1: For those who don't want to ride, there will be a gentle walk and Treasure Hunt around Willen Lake taking in the local scenery. Meet at the Peace Pagoda at 1.30pm.

Option 2: This one is especially suitable for families with small children; a bike ride and Treasure Hunt around the lake area. (Children may want to bring along scooters instead). Meet at the Peace Pagoda at 1.30pm.

Option 3: This one is ideal for families with older children; a Treasure Hunt starting from Lovat Hall and ending at Willen Lake (approx. 4 miles) answering clues along the way. Meet at Lovat Hall at 1.30pm.

Option 4: For the more energetic bikers, we're offering a 16 mile bike ride starting from Lovat Hall at 1.30pm.

If none of the options work for you, then why not simply join us for a picnic at Willen Lake at around 3.30pm. Oh, and don't forget to bring your picnic!
