Town Award for WNS Team

Jack Receiving Award from TownWe're really proud of the whole team which allows the Milton Keynes Winter Night Shelter to run so successfully.

Each year a team of hard working volunteers come together to give up their time and energy so that the homeless, who would otherwise be sleeping rough during the cold winter months, can be given a hot meal and a warm place to sleep.

The WNS works in partnership with several local churches that provide their facilities free of charge and NPBC is one of those churches. During the winter months, our own Lovat Hall became a friendly, safe environment for many homeless guests.

On Thursday 19th April, NPBC's efforts were rewarded at Newport Pagnell's Annual Town Meeting where it received the annual town award for volunteers. This was wonderful recognition of the whole team's achievements and reflects the way in which the town recognises the important work done by NPBC for the WNS project.

The award was collected on behalf of the whole WNS team by Jack Walker from Town Mayor, Cllr Derek Eastman.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this year's Winter Night Shelter, we applaud you!
