It all started when…

Over the summer, we spent time seeking God’s heart for His church in Newport Pagnell.

Through the feedback from our church family and the Bible texts we were drawn to, we believe that God is calling us – first and foremost – to return to Him; to think less about the activities we might run, and more about the people he is calling us to be.

Over the next 8 weeks, we’ll remind ourselves of the Church’s vision statement, and then explore the 6 values that support it – the behaviours that we want to underpin everything we do.

To help everyone engage, each week’s message will be available on Sunday’s Church Online, as well as in written and audio format, enabling you to listen on the go.

We are already praying that the Holy Spirit might work in us and amongst us as we approach this new season. Join us, as we seek to be the people He calls us to be.

04 October

Living out God’s love – John 13:34-35

A reminder of the vision and its purpose: that His love might be known through us in order that, in our service of Him, we might be disciples who make disciples

11 October

We are family – 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

We use the phrase church family all the time. But do we know what it really means; and where does membership fit into it all?

18 October

We are Bible-centred – 2 Timothy 3:14-17

Just imagine that God loved us enough to give us a guidebook for our life journey; a guidebook that not only shows the way but brings us closer to Him with every verse we read.

25 October

We are Spirit led – Romans 8:5

Nothing will change our study of God’s Word, our prayer lives, our church and our sharing of the gospel more than opening our hearts to the Holy Spirit. So, what are we waiting for?

We are courageous in mission – Isaiah 6:8-9

“Here I am, send me.” These words of Isaiah are a challenge to us all. We know that we’re called to respond in the same way, but so often we lack the courage to step out. But what if all God desires from us, is to take the first step...?

08 November

Remembrance Zoom

Today we stand together to remember those who have lost their lives through war and conflict in our world. As we do so, we are reminded of everything that God gave up so that we might know life in all its fullness, today and tomorrow.

15 November

We are generous – Luke 21:1-4

We have been blessed, more abundantly than we could ever imagine. And we are called to bless others in the same way – with our time, our money, our service and our love.

22 November

We are for everyone – Romans 15:7

Jesus spent more time with sinners and the outcasts of society than he did with the wealthy, or the movers and shakers. What does this tell us, and how should it shape the church that we’re called to be?
